Initially Aerostar Hotel was planned to build by "Olimpic Games 80". Nevertheless the project was not completed and was restarted only in 1989 together with Canadian partners.

Aerostar Hotel opened in 1991 and became one of the first world-class hotels in Moscow. It combined convinient location, comfortable accomodation and excellent services.

In 1998 it was awarded the prize "The best 4 star Hotel of Moscow" for its high level services.

Hotel's restaurants have always been famous for their exquisite cuisine. Borodino Restaurant was recognized the best Moscow restaurant twice and awarded "Cristal Ladia" prize.

In August, 2004 the Hotel was closed because of the conflict between the owner of the property and operating company.

In 2007 the building was acquired by AeroPlaza Company.
